As of September 1st 2019, there will be an increase in the consultation fees AND A CHANGE TO THE BILLING POLICY REGARDING CONCESSION CARD HOLDERS.
We may bulk bill pensioners, but will only do so within normal working hours (9 AM to 5 PM) and at the discretion of the individual doctor. Your concession card MUST be produced at each visit.
The standard fee (up to 20 minutes) will be $78.00. The current Medicare rebate is $38.20, so you will be out of pocket by $39.80. Health Care Card holders and full time independent students may be charged a reduced fee of $58, so will be out of pocket by $19.80.
You may require a longer consultation, and if so both the fee and the medicare rebate are accordingly higher:
A long visit (20-40 minutes) will cost $114 with a Medicare rebate of $73.90, leaving $40.10 out of pocket.
For those on a reduced fee of $94, they will be $20.10 out of pocket.
A prolonged visit of more than 40 minutes will cost $150, with a Medicare rebate of $108.85, leaving $41.15 out of pocket.
For those on a reduced fee of $130, they will still only be $21.15 out of pocket.
Medicare Online enables us to submit your Medicare claim at the time of your appointment and your Medicare rebate will be paid into your bank account overnight.
Bulk billing may also be available if there are difficult financial circumstances. Please discuss these matters with your doctor.
Workcover accounts will be billed directly to your insurance company, but only if you provide us with a claim number. For a new Workcover claim or where the insurance company has not yet accepted liability you will be responsible for payment of the account.
Appointments outside normal working hours (before 9 AM, after 5 PM or Saturday mornings) will be reserved for those who are working and cannot be seen at other times, so bulk-billing will not be available.
You will be sent an account if you to fail to attend your appointment or if you fail to cancel your appointment at least 2 hours prior to appointment time.
